At Butter's Boards we repurpose a myriad of trim ends and rejected materials from a variety of wood working industries into one-of-a- kind hardwood cutting boards as beautiful as they are functional.

My Story

I've lived in Oregon since 1997 and have worked in the woodworking industry since 1994. I've always been and avid woodworker, creating intricate humidors, custom furniture, cabinets, baby blocks and more for friends and family.  Several years ago I started salvaging trim ends and rejected materials from some of the woodshops I work with and began repurposing them into cutting boards, and Butter's Boards was born.

We offer a variety of boards in standard sizes, and can also make custom sizes, add drip rings, end handles, lazy susans or just about anything you'd like.  I'd love to hear your ideas!

The Process

Frequently in the woodworking industry there are rejected panels, trim ends, rippings, and downgraded materials that often find their way into the chipper and get ground into sawdust.  This usually ends up in landfills or animal bedding.

That's where I come in, collecting the trim ends & timbers and transform them into one-of-a-kind cutting boards as beautiful as they are functional.
